About Ivy
I’m originally from the Philippines, a nurse by profession, and someone who has always been drawn to creativity in one form or another.
Before painting, I worked as a photographer specialising in family portraits, capturing connection, emotion, and quiet moments between people. But no matter where life took me, art kept finding its way back. During the pandemic, I finally listened to that pull and picked up a paintbrush.
I am a self-taught painter, guided more by instinct than rules.
My work centres on the female form, its sensuality, beauty, and timeless presence. I’m drawn to the balance women hold: powerful yet delicate, soft yet unbreakable. Each piece is an exploration of that duality, portraying the feminine as something both intimate and universal.
Through my paintings, I aim to capture not just a figure, but a feeling — the quiet strength, vulnerability, and depth that exist all at once.
