Her Story:
He found her on the balcony long after sunset, jasmine heavy in the air. She did not seem surprised.
“You shouldn’t be alone,” he said.
“And yet,” she replied softly, turning toward him, “I am.”
He had crossed cities to see her again, carrying words he should have spoken sooner. For a moment, she let their hands meet just enough to remember what once burned between them.
Then she stepped back.
Rania loves deeply, but she no longer surrenders easily.
“If you choose me,” she said quietly, “choose to stay.”
